Training of Manual Handling Trainers (4 days)
Course Objectives:
To provide participant with
- Knowlege of relevant law
- Knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, mechanics of injury
- Detailed knowldge of principles of Safety Lifting and theory behind them
- Knowledge of presentation skills
- Understanding responsibilities associated with training
- Course administration issues
Prerequisites:
- Completion of 1 day course on Manual Handling
- Copies of Act and Regulations
Session 1
- Registration
- Introduction to the course
Session 2
- Manual Handling revised - covering all aspects of manual handling course
- Risk assessment of manual handling tasks
Session 3
- Communication and presentation skills
- Design of training courses
- Selection of appropriate training materials
